Thorlakson Feedyards Inc. was started in 1970, as a small custom cattle feedlot and has grown over the past 50 years. They pride themselves on being at the forefront of innovative, and collaborative custom feeding. In 1997, TNC was created in order to find a way to take with manure from the Feedlot and turn it into a product that gardeners and landscapers could use. TNC is now entirely focused on commercial composting of organic waste. Their business has evolved to include their passion and experience with horses, since then, they have become a staple for Central Alberta Team Penning Association, along with multiple horse organizations, making them a vital part of our local horse community.
Having three completely different businesses in one site might seem near impossible, but for us it was a super fun challenge. The goal on this was to focus on detailed information to help educate people and to share the family aspect of their businesses. They have accomplished so much together and showcased it in a fresh, contemporary feel. This business has grown and diversified, we felt the site really needed to reflect and focus on that.
We get to work with some of the most hard-working individuals you’ve ever met, some of which work in acres not hours and rely on us to tell their stories.
